How Citybox works
Citybox is different from conventional hotels. Because you handle your booking, payment, check-in and check-out yourself, there is no staffed reception desk at Citybox. From 8 am to 10 pm in June until August and from 9 am to 4 pm in September until May, you can contact the Citybox caretaker at the hotel or via the hotline in the reception area simply, pick up the phone.
Booking: You can book rooms by phone or via the Internet. You can also book rooms at the Citybox check-in terminal without booking in advance. NOK 50 service fee applies for booking by phone.
Payment: You are required to pay for your room at the check-in terminal on arrival. The terminal accepts Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, Diners, American Express and BankAxept (standard payment cards). However, please note that you cannot pay cash.
Check-in: When you arrive at Citybox, use our check-in terminal to check in. If you have booked in advance, use your booking number and password to check in. The terminal will print a receipt and then issue a key-card to your room. The room will be ready for check-in at the latest at 4 pm, but you can check in any time after this.
Check-out: You must leave your room before 12 am on the day of your departure. After this time, your key card will be invalid. If you wish to extend your stay, you can use the check-in terminal to do so.
Alteration and cancellation: You can cancel via the Internet up to one day before your scheduled day of arrival. After you arrive, you can use the check-in terminal to change your date of departure.
